What Makes the High Performance Center Transformative?

Unified Training Space
CVA student-athletes across every discipline will train side by side in one dynamic, cohesive environment. This shared space fosters camaraderie, builds cross-team connections, and strengthens our close-knit community. Athletes recovering from injury will no longer train in isolation. With dedicated rehabilitation areas inside the HPC, they can remain connected to their teams and coaches, making recovery a more inclusive and motivating experience. It’s all part of our commitment to being one team.
Whole-Athlete Development
The HPC is designed to help student-athletes thrive both physically and mentally. By combining strength and conditioning with recovery services, mental wellness support, and performance mindset training, we’re laying the foundation for long-term success, resilience, and overall well-being. It’s a complete and connected approach to developing the whole athlete.
Adaptability
This all-in-one facility removes barriers to training. Students will no longer need to move between buildings or wait for limited space. Whether it’s strength work, injury rehabilitation, or mental health support, everything will be available in one place, even when the Anti-Gravity Complex is closed. The result is more efficient training, less stress, and more time to focus on growth.

FAQ

List of 5 frequently asked questions.

  • How will this new facility improve student-athlete performance?

The High Performance Center is designed to align with U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s High Performance development standards. It brings together fitness, rehabilitation, and mental wellness services in one integrated space, allowing student-athletes to train more effectively and recover more quickly. Injured athletes will stay connected with their teams while receiving care, and everyone will benefit from immediate access to physical and mental health support. The HPC will also include educational components focused on health, wellness, and optimal performance, ensuring students build knowledge alongside strength.
  • Why is this new facility necessary?

Currently, training, rehab, and wellness services are spread out across multiple buildings with limited space and equipment. The HPC solves this challenge by centralizing everything under one roof. This unified approach eliminates logistical barriers, supports better communication among staff, and enhances the day-to-day training experience for all student-athletes.
  • What is the importance of flexible scheduling and adaptability?

Adaptability is key to long-term success. The HPC is designed to be a dynamic, year-round training environment that can evolve with the needs of our athletes and teams. Whether it’s during peak season, off-season, or in response to individual needs, the space can be easily reconfigured to support a variety of training goals. This flexibility also ensures that athletes can continue training even when the Anti-Gravity Complex is closed.
  • What role does the HPC play in community and team culture?

By bringing all disciplines together in one space, the HPC fosters deeper team connections and a stronger sense of community. Athletes recovering from injury won’t be isolated - they’ll remain part of the daily rhythm of training and stay engaged with their peers and coaches. This helps maintain motivation and reinforces the value of supporting one another across disciplines.
