SUGARLOAF SKI CLUB SCHOLARSHIPS

One of CVA’s most important partners is the Sugarloaf Ski Club; a cornerstone of the Sugarloaf community and a driving force behind youth snowsports in Maine. The mission of the Ski Club is to provide opportunities for all youth to participate and excel in skiing and snowboarding, promote community-building events, support competition, and preserve the history and heritage of the mountain.

The Fall Scholarship Program, funded by the Town of Carrabassett Fund, the Dick & Martha Ayotte Fund, and other Ski Club funds, provides partial financial assistance to help young snowboarders and skiers participate in local programs. Applications must be postmarked by September 20, 2025.

SafeSport

As a member club of US Ski and Snowboard and under the umbrella of the USOC, CVA recognizes the importance of the SafeSport initiative. As it states: We all have a role to play in creating a healthy setting for sport. SafeSport helps raise awareness about misconduct in sport, promotes open dialogue, and provides training and resources. When we work as a team, we can build a game plan to make sport safe for everyone. CVA is committed to the health, safety, and well-being of each of our athletes.

Updated training is available through the SafeSport website. Courses range from 15 - 30 minutes. We encourage all families to utilize the free educational training.
