Orientation trips gave students a chance to bond, make memories, and set the foundation for a meaningful year together, even in the rain.
Charlie grew up in Portland, Maine, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, where he played baseball and tennis and contributed to the Exercise Science research team. He went on to complete a Master’s in Motor Learning & Motor Control at Columbia University in New York City. Welcome Charlie!

Carrabassett Valley Academy athletes are back on campus, and they wasted no time setting the tone for a powerful year ahead. Preseason began with fitness testing, where student-athletes pushed their limits in strength, agility, endurance, and balance—proving that champions are made long before the snow flies.
CVA marked the start of its 44th school year with Fall Registration Day on Sunday, August 31. This year, the Academy welcomed 69 new and returning student-athletes and their families to campus. We’re so excited to welcome back our returning families and to give a big Big Dog welcome to those joining us for the first time!
The first full weekend back at CVA was filled with adventure and connection as students headed out on their Class Orientation Trips. These trips are a highlight of the year, giving classmates the chance to bond, explore, and kick off the year together!
