  • Interviews

We encourage all families to visit Carrabassett Valley Academy but understand this may not be possible for international families. For families not able to travel to CVA, we will schedule a virtual tour and a zoom interview with the Admissions team.
  • Medical Insurance

All students are required to have a comprehensive medical plan that is accepted by local providers. Medical insurance issued from a country outside of the United States may not provide complete coverage in the United States. If insurance needs to be purchased for coverage in the United States, CVA recommends the most comprehensive plan offered by the Global Benefits Group: Student Health Insurance Protection.
  • Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition for international students is the same as the tuition for domestic students. Please visit the Tuition & Financial Aid page to begin the financial aid process. The Financial Aid system calculates US Dollars. Please complete the application using the most up to date currency exchange rates.
  • F-1 Student Visa

International students must have an F-1 Student Visa to study in the United States. To secure the F-1 Student Visa, Carrabassett Valley Academy issues an official I-20 Form to be used in the F-1 Student Visa application process. Applicants must pay the I-901 fee on the SEVIS Fee Processing website. Please visit the Student Process Steps page for detailed information on the F-1 Student Visa application process.

The I-20 Form provides program information and proof of the student's enrollment at CVA. International students are required to have their signed I-20 Form with them every time they enter or exit the United States. Natacha Doust P '23

Francois, our French-speaking Belgian son, a very good skier in France, chose CVA to improve his skiing skills with top level coaches while learning English.  The experience was successful! Everything was very positive! He was part of a community and happy! He has become bilingual, the lessons are of a very high standard and he has done very well in his alpine skiing competitions.  It was a very difficult year with COVID but thanks to the respect of sanitary rules and the vigilance of teachers and coaches, students had face-to-face lessons throughout the year.  This allowed them to achieve a very high academic level, which is exceptional for this year!  Thanks again to CVA!  We strongly recommend this school at all levels!
