Olympian Doug Lewis Brings Energy to CVA

CVA was thrilled to welcome Olympian Doug Lewis to campus during Fall Family Weekend. On Friday, Doug met with academy student-athletes for an engaging seminar on mental skills, followed by a high-energy athletics block packed with teamwork, focus, and fun.
CVA utilizes Champions Advantage, a cutting-edge mental skills curriculum created by Doug and fellow Olympian Shannon Bahrke, giving student-athletes tools to build confidence, resilience, and performance under pressure.

The excitement continued on Saturday, October 11, when Weekend Program athletes joined Doug on the Fremont-Smith Field for a mix of dryland and agility training, games, and sport psychology sessions. The athletes brought great energy and enthusiasm, making it a memorable session.

A Big Dog thank-you to Doug Lewis for making this inspiring weekend possible! His visit reinforced the importance of mental strength, teamwork, and joy in sport. The lessons shared over the weekend will continue to motivate our student-athletes as they strive for excellence on and off the snow.
