Alpine: Podiums, Speed, and Strong Depth

The Women’s FIS team brought strong energy to the FIS Super Series at Mont Blanc, where Lucia Littlefield ’26 earned a U18 slalom bronze while finishing 8th and 9th overall in two races against a deep international field. A return to the same course produced another U18 bronze, reinforcing her consistency at a high level. She carried that momentum into the Slalom National Junior Race at Pat’s Peak, capturing gold on day one and silver on day two against a field of more than 100 competitors. Abigail Manson ’26 also delivered a solid performance, finishing in the top quarter of a competitive heat.

For the FIS Men, Ethan Godomsky ’27 impressed in his FIS debut, finishing second among U18 athletes and fourth overall in Super-G at Gore Mountain. Teammates Jack Hepburn ’26 and Max Roy ’27 added depth with top-20 finishes in both Super-G races.

Speed Week at Sugarloaf followed fresh snowfall and provided an ideal stage for downhill racing. Max Roy ’27 led the group with a U18 bronze medal, while Ethan Godomsky ’27 placed fifth in the U18 field. Rocco Lazzaro ’26 and Jack Hepburn ’26 both pushed into the top 15 overall, signaling a strong start to the downhill series. Lazzaro continued the momentum in slalom, capturing gold at the NJR U18 qualifier—his third win of the season. Season-best results from Godomsky, Roy, and Nick Klemperer ’27, along with Godomsky’s Hard Charger Award after moving up 78 places, highlighted the growing strength and precision of the men’s FIS squad.

Backcountry: Big Terrain, Big Smiles

Under bluebird skies and fresh powder, CVA’s Backcountry team experienced an unforgettable stretch of winter in the Tetons. Touring through pristine terrain, athletes embraced the full spectrum of the backcountry experience—from skinning uphill to carving fresh tracks in untouched snow.

Time spent in Grand Teton National Park and at Grand Targhee Resort offered both adventure and learning opportunities, as athletes built skills, confidence, and camaraderie in a truly iconic mountain environment.

Freestyle Freeski: Podiums and Progression

CVA freeskiers delivered an impressive showing at the Slopestyle competition at Sugarloaf, earning podium finishes across multiple age groups. Athletes from the youngest divisions through 15–16 men stepped onto the podium, highlighting the program’s range and progression.

The Freestyle Freeski team also launched a new tradition during its Copper Mountain trip, naming daily MVPs who exemplified perseverance and progression. From Graem Glidden ’27’s return after months of hard work to milestone double cork landings by Grant Schad ’27, Ossian Prime-Spivak ’28, and Reggie Hicks ’27, the trip showcased both athletic growth and team culture.

Freestyle Moguls: World-Class Venue, Big Results

At the Rosemary Bowl in Waterville Valley—a World Cup moguls venue—CVA athletes rose to the occasion with strong performances across multiple age groups. Kenadie Dickey ’26 led the way, earning third overall in singles before returning the next day to place seventh in the duals competition. Penny Riotte ’29 followed with an impressive second-place finish in F15 singles.

Depth across the program was on full display, with top-10 finishes from Eleanor Riotte ’31 (5th, F13), Merritt Cook ’29 (9th, F15), Christopher Savage ’28 (6th, M17), Matthew Wilkerson WP (6th, M15), Owen Blaisdell WP (8th, M15), and Brooks Dinsmore WP (9th, M15), underscoring the team’s consistency and competitive strength.

The momentum continued at the Rod Baird Mogul Challenge in Stratton, Vermont, where the Big Dogs once again brought the energy. Penny Riotte ’29 cracked the overall girls’ top 10 in singles, with Kenadie Dickey ’26 close behind in 11th. Christopher Savage ’28 added another top-10 singles finish for the boys, while Brooks Savage WP powered through his dual match-up to secure a strong eighth-place result.

Snowboard: Nor-Am Cup Success

The snowboard team capped off the stretch with two dominant days of boardercross racing at the Nor-Am Cup at Sun Peaks. Alumni Boden Gerry ’24 and Theo McIemore ’21 each claimed gold on separate days, while current athletes Walker Wolfe ’26, Valentina Harrison-Cowher ’28, and Lilly-Mae Awamleh ’26 posted strong results against fierce international competition.

Alumni: Success Beyond CVA

On the world’s biggest stage, CVA alumni Liam Moffatt ’18, Nathan Pare, and Sam Morse ’13 represented Team USA at the Olympic Winter Games, competing against the strongest alpine athletes in the world. Their Olympic appearances reflect years of dedication and mark a significant milestone for both the athletes and the CVA program.

At the collegiate level, Althea Noyes ’23, now competing for Colby College, continued her rise on the carnival circuit with a third-place finish in Giant Slalom at the Colby Carnival at Sugarloaf, followed by a second-place result at the Saint Lawrence Carnival at Whiteface. Strong performances in the NCAA field have positioned her well for qualification to Nationals.

In freestyle moguls, Chase Littlefield ’24 delivered a standout performance at the FIS NORAM Cup in Apex Mountain, British Columbia, earning a silver medal against a stacked field of 56 international competitors. His result adds to a growing list of alumni successes across disciplines and continents.

Across every discipline, CVA’s Big Dogs continue to prove that preparation, depth, and determination translate into results—on podiums near and far.
