A Message from the Head of School

Dear CVA Community,
This month, we welcomed our Winter Term students to campus, with more than half joining us for the first time. It was energizing to see the campus full, and even more impressive to watch our new students step confidently into the CVA experience. After settling in, our teams traveled across the country and around the world, starting their seasons.
As our student-athletes return from these early-season training trips, we are especially grateful for the work Sugarloaf is doing to prepare the mountain for an early opening. Their focus on building out CVA’s training venues allows many of our teams to transition back into quality on-snow training at home, with more terrain coming online as conditions allow. This support sets the tone for an outstanding season ahead.

Progress on the High-Performance Center continues to be exciting. The walls are up, the windows are in, and the building is truly taking shape. The HPC represents a major milestone in CVA’s vision for the future, providing a state-of-the-art space for fitness, wellness, and athlete development. It is inspiring to see this project coming to life and to imagine the opportunities it will bring our students for years to come.

With Sugarloaf open, the HPC rising, and our athletes returning with energy and purpose, the momentum for this season is unmistakable. Here’s to a winter term full of growth, achievement, and memorable experiences on and off the mountain.
With gratitude,
Alex
