A Message from CVA's Head of School

Alex Godomsky '91
Dear CVA Community,
What an incredible stretch of days it’s been coming out of Fall Family and Sugarloaf Homecoming Weekend. Thank you to everyone who was able to visit campus, meet with teachers and coaches, and share in the excitement of the season.
It was wonderful to see so many of you and feel the energy that comes from having our community together.

We kicked off the week with a powerful message of resilience from Chris Waddell, a World Champion and Paralympian recently inducted into the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame. His story of perseverance and determination deeply resonated with our students.

We wrapped up the week with Olympian Doug Lewis, who led our athletes through an engaging seminar on mental skills and a high-energy athletics block. Doug continued his work with our weekend program athletes on Saturday on the Fremont-Smith Field, an outstanding experience for everyone involved.

Meanwhile, the High-Performance Center is taking shape, with the roof and exterior walls now in place. The HPC marks a major step forward in CVA’s strategic plan, creating a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center that will serve the CVA community.

Looking ahead, we can’t wait to welcome our Winter Term students on November 2. With the momentum we’ve built this fall, the energy on campus, and the strength of our community, we’re set for an incredible season ahead.

With gratitude,
Alex
