Athletics Recap: Big Performances, Big Progress, Big Dog Energy

The 2025–2026 season is off to an electrifying start for CVA athletes, with standout performances across freestyle, snowboard, freeski, and alpine disciplines. Early competitions have already highlighted podium finishes, breakthrough performances, and exciting progress for both current athletes and alumni.
CVA Freestyle: U.S. Selections

CVA athletes made a strong impression at the U.S. Freestyle Selections at Winter Park, where 59 of the country’s top female mogul skiers and 72 top male mogul skiers competed for World Cup and U.S. Team opportunities.

Kenadie Dickey ’26 delivered consistent, confident skiing, executing runs that reflected her growing strengths and composure under pressure. She managed the course thoughtfully and demonstrated that preparation, consistency, and focus pay off at the highest level.

CVA alumni also showcased their talent on the national stage:
Dory Michaud ’23 — 10th in single moguls, 5th in duals
Chase Littlefield ’24 — 4th in both single moguls and duals
Jack Egan ’25 — 10th in both single and dual moguls

“Representing CVA, our region, and our community isn’t always about the biggest DD or a World Cup-level run,” said Head Mogul Coach and Director of Action Sports, Nate McKenzie. “It’s about proving you can perform when it counts. This group did exactly that.”

With these results, CVA Freestyle athletes and alumni are establishing themselves in the national pipeline, and current team members like Kenadie are poised for strong performances in upcoming NORAM Series competitions.
