CVA is proud to celebrate three alumni who earned selection to the 2026–27 U.S. Moguls Development Team: Dory Michaud ’23, Chase Littlefield ’24, and Jack Egan ’25. Their selections place them among the nation’s top developing mogul skiers and represent a significant milestone for CVA’s Freestyle Moguls program.
As members of the U.S. Moguls Development Team, they will train and compete within one of the country's most elite athlete development pathways, designed to prepare athletes for future opportunities at the World Cup, World Championship, and Olympic levels.
The selections follow several seasons of outstanding performances by all three athletes. Dory continued to establish herself among the nation’s top mogul skiers this season with a standout performance at the Toyota U.S. Freestyle Championships, where she finished third in dual moguls and fourth in moguls. Competing regularly against current and former World Cup athletes, Michaud has become a consistent presence among the top competitors in U.S. freestyle.
Chase has steadily climbed the North American freestyle ranks, earning podium finishes and consistent results on the NorAm circuit. This season, he captured a silver medal at a NorAm Cup event at Apex Mountain, British Columbia, and represented Team USA at the FIS Junior World Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
Jack emerged as one of the top junior mogul skiers in the world this season. His breakthrough performance came at the FIS Junior World Championships, where he earned a silver medal against the world's best junior athletes. Jack's result helped Team USA secure the Marc Holder Overall Trophy, awarded to the top-performing nation across all freestyle disciplines. He also continued to demonstrate his ability to compete against senior-level athletes with strong performances at both the U.S. Freestyle Championships and NorAm events.
Managed by U.S. Ski & Snowboard, the Moguls Development Team, also known as the Moguls National Development Group (MONDG), serves as a critical step in the national team pipeline. Athletes are selected based on performances at NorAm competitions, U.S. Championships, and other FIS-sanctioned events. The program provides access to national development projects, specialized coaching, training camps, and performance support designed to prepare athletes for the next level of international competition.
For CVA, having three alumni selected to the Development Team is a testament to the strength of the Academy’s Freestyle Moguls program and its long-standing commitment to athlete development. From Junior Nationals and NorAm competitions to World Championships and national team opportunities, CVA athletes continue to demonstrate that they can compete and succeed on some of the sport’s biggest stages.
As these Big Dogs begin the next phase of their athletic careers, their selections reflect years of commitment, progression, and success at every level of the sport. Their advancement onto the U.S. Moguls Development Team marks another significant milestone for these CVA alumni and underscores the strength of the athlete pathway that continues to connect Big Dogs to opportunities at the highest levels.
CVA Action Sports Director & Freestyle Program Manager Nate McKenzie, who coached all three athletes during their time at CVA, reflected on their achievements:
"Seeing Dory, Chase, and Jack earn selection to the U.S. Moguls Development Team is incredibly rewarding. These athletes were a major part of our mogul program rebuild at CVA, and to watch them grow from hardworking young skiers into national team athletes is something I couldn’t be more proud of. What excites me most is that this is only another step in their journey—I’m looking forward to seeing where their work ethic, resilience, and passion continue to take them."
Their selection is both a celebration of what they have accomplished and a strong indicator of what lies ahead for CVA alumni in the national moguls pipeline.
