Stronger Together: CVA Students Build Connections on Fall Orientation Trips

Sam Calamari
The first full weekend back at CVA was filled with adventure and connection as students headed out on their Class Orientation Trips. These trips are a highlight of the year, giving classmates the chance to bond, explore, and kick off the year together!
CVA 7th and 8th graders proved that not even a little rain could slow them down! Their adventure to the beautiful Maine Huts & Trails Stratton Brook Hut was filled with hiking, mountain biking, and river swims.

9th graders embarked on an unforgettable trip with Ocean Explorers Maine! They sailed to a protected cove and set up camp. From steering a compass course to spotting playful porpoise, this trip was full of teamwork and adventure.

10th graders kicked off the year with an incredible trip to Acadia National Park. They camped under the stars and climbed dramatic granite cliffs that plunge straight into the ocean. Thank you, Acadia Mountain Guides.

11th graders headed to Adventure Bound in The Forks to go whitewater rafting and try their skills on the ropes course. Led by two guides who are also CVA alumni, the group kicked off the year with meaningful time together.

Grade 12: Canoeing & Camping in the Moosehead Lake area with Chip and Lani Cochran at Allagash Canoe Trips.
