As we reflect on another exciting year at Carrabassett Valley Academy, we are reminded that the strength of the CVA experience is made possible by our students, coaches, and faculty, and by the generosity of our community.
Each year, gifts to the CVA Annual Fund play a critical role in supporting the student-athlete experience both on the hill and in the classroom. The Annual Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition and the true cost of delivering the exceptional educational and athletic experience that defines CVA.
At a ski and snowboard academy like CVA, these investments translate into tangible advantages for student-athletes through stronger coach-to-athlete ratios, improved training environments, and access to the tools and support needed to compete and develop at the highest levels. The Annual Fund also provides the flexibility to address unexpected needs, pursue strategic opportunities, and continually improve programs rather than simply maintain them.
This year marked an exciting milestone for the CVA community with the opening of the new High Performance Center, which has quickly become an important hub for student development and campus life. Progress like this is only possible because of the generosity and commitment of donors who believe deeply in CVA’s mission.
We are incredibly grateful to the many alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends whose support continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of CVA students. Every gift, regardless of size, helps ensure that student-athletes have access to the coaching, academics, and opportunities they need to pursue their goals and dreams.

As the school year came to a close, student-athletes, families, faculty, coaches, and staff gathered for one of CVA’s favorite traditions, the annual Big Dog Awards Luncheon, held this year on Friday, June 5. The event provided an opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate a year of hard work, growth, and community.
Families, faculty, staff, coaches, alumni, and friends gathered on Friday, June 5, for the annual Senior Banquet to celebrate the Class of 2026 and reflect on the experiences, memories, and relationships that shaped their years at Carrabassett Valley Academy.
Each month, CVA recognizes students who embody the core values of kindness, respect, commitment, and gratitude. The May Student Spotlight Award recipients have distinguished themselves through academic achievement, athletic dedication, leadership, and service to others. Their efforts, both large and small, help strengthen the CVA community and make a positive impact on those around them.
