A Message from the Head of School

Dear CVA Community,
Congratulations to our student-athletes on a strong and rewarding season. You have represented our community with consistency and determination, showing real commitment to your training, grit in competition, and sportsmanship in how you show up for one another. These efforts reflect the Big Dog values: kindness, respect, commitment, and gratitude.
This championship season was marked by both high achievement and meaningful growth. From podium finishes on the international stage to breakthrough performances at national events, our athletes demonstrated resilience, versatility, and a willingness to push themselves in competitive environments. Just as important, they supported one another and embraced the daily process that drives long-term success.

This spring has also brought new energy to campus with the opening of our High Performance Center. When students returned from break this week, they stepped into a space built specifically to support their development, bringing together strength and conditioning, recovery, and wellness under one roof. Seeing our student-athletes training in the HPC has already reinforced the impact this transformative addition will have on their daily training experience.

We look forward to celebrating the opening of the HPC with our broader community during a formal event this fall, in conjunction with Fall Family Weekend and Homecoming. To learn more about the vision behind the High Performance Center, I encourage you to visit https://www.gocva.com/high-performance-center

Thank you to our coaches, faculty, staff, families, and supporters who make this work possible. Your commitment to our student-athletes is evident throughout the season and in moments like these.

With gratitude,
Alex
