Your Support Keeps Us There
For the past three decades Carrabassett Valley Academy has thrived, thanks to the incredible generosity of current and past parents, alumni, and friends. Your support and belief in our mission has enabled CVA to make the bold moves necessary to seize opportunities and remain on the leading edge, both athletically and academically. In 1989, we were the first winter sports academy to offer snowboarding and, in 1999, we were the first to offer a competitive park and pipe skiing program. With your help, in 2011 we purchased the BagJump (airbag), the largest and safest on the market. Today we are leading the pack with our commitment to boarder and skier cross programs, and our school-wide commitment to interactive technology in the classroom and on the hill sets us apart from our peers. These technology upgrades in conjunction with our new facility, have brought our already strong academic programs to new levels. None of this would be possible without your help. At this critically important time in our history we need the community to come together once again to support our move to the King Cummings Campus and to help us strengthen our endowment.
We hope that you will consider becoming an indelible part of CVA history by making a gift and either naming a space within the new academic center or creating an endowed fund. Named spaces and funds also present a special way to honor, celebrate, or memorialize a beloved family member or friend.
“Pam and I are both so grateful for the pivotal role that CVA has played in the journey of both of our sons, Ben and Sam. It has given them a tremendous start in life. We encourage others to join us in our support of CVA. Together we can create incredible learning spaces and opportunities that will continue to shape the lives of students for generations to come.”
