U.S. Snowboard Team studies show that the technical foundation of champion snowboard athletes is built during the grade school years. At these ages, it's mileage and the time to practice new skills that build the strongest base.
To help young athletes get the necessary on snow mileage and training, CVA designed weeklong winter training camps for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade competitive snowboarders who are looking to bring their skills to the next level. CVA's Winter Camps provide competitive weekend athletes the opportunity for more on-snow training and coaching throughout the busy competition season when a void in training is often felt.
Monitored academic blocks with a tutor allow the student to complete homework brought from the home school. Once a student has registered for a winter training camp, an academic packet will be sent to the parents which inludes an introductory letter to the athelete's teachers plus assignment forms for the teachers to complete.
