Chris Clark, Program Manager/Head Coach
Clark has spent the past twelve years competing, coaching, instructing and judging throughout the Midwest and other parts of the United States. Prior to joining CVA he coached at Boston Mills/Brandywine where he was also involved in the orchestration, design and upkeep of the park and half pipe. During his seven years as a USASA competitor he qualified 1st overall every year in his age group for Nationals. He also participated in US Open of snowboarding, was featured in snowboard films and was elected to tryout for the 2004 National Demo Team for AASI. He is a Level C certified judge. Clark graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Computer Information Systems.
Rob Catalano, Snowboard Coach
Coaching, judging and competing since 1996, Rob Catalano, is a USASA certified coach and judge as well as a Level 2 Certified AASI snowboard instructor. Prior to joining CVA Catalano spent several winters providing private coaching for high level regional and national multi-discipline, alpine and freestyle athletes. He served for seven years as the USASA SnowOhio series administer. In the past he has ridden for Nitro Midwest Snowboards and the Haz Mat Pro Team. Catalano graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Computer Information Systems.
Barbarlyn Whalen, Snowboard Coach
A member of CVA's class of 2001, Barbarlyn returns to the Academy with a desire to instruct and motivate young student-athletes.
Anna Potter, Snowboard Coach
Potter comes to CVA with over a decade of snowboarding experience. She grew up riding and competing at Killington Mountain. She was the female state champion in halfpipe and slopestyle events in high school. In college she rode at Stowe Mountain and was hired as the female snowboarding coach at Stowe Mountain School. Potter received her Bachelor of Science
degree from the University of Vermont.
