  • Day Rejoins US Ski Team Coaching Staff

    Mike Day '89 is making his way back to the U.S. Ski Team as the men's alpine technical head coach. "Mike has shown great leadership in his past coaching positions and will also bring in a strong knowledge of the ski industry from his recent years at Fisher," said Sasha Rearick, US Ski Team Men's Alpine Coach.

    First-year St. Lawrence University student Ashley-Kate Durham was selected as the EISA Rookie of the Year and named Second Team All-East after exploding on to the EISA race circuit.

    Ben Manter earned Bates College its first Alpine All-American in nine years at the NCAA Division I Championships.  Sean Clark '92 was the first alpine skier in Bate's history to achieve All-American.

    Olympic berths are on the line for Jeremy Cota and Dave DiGravio. World Cup moguls at Lake Placid is the final chance for CVA's alumni to qualify for the Olympic Team.  If either of them lands on the podium, then Vancouver could be their next stop.

  • Gedevanishvili Olympic Bound

    CVA junior Dimitri (Dima) Gedevanishvili is headed to Vancouver for the Winter Olympics. Ranked number one in downhill and second in giant slalom for the Republic of Georgia. Dima has been at Carrabassett Valley Academy for three years. He was training in Austria when Russia invaded his homeland in August of 2008. "My parents called," said Dima.
