The passion to conquer the mountains is in large part the reason student-athletes come to CVA. The pull of the snow-covered peaks maintains focus on academic and athletic goals. It is with that understanding that CVA symbolizes the academic journey through the mountains.
Honors options for many of our core academic courses are offered. These courses are listed as such on a student's transcript and are given additional weight.
The six academic disciplines, each represented by a unique mountain peak, outline a student’s journey from the base to the summit as they attain specialized academic skills along the way. Our academic peaks of achievement illustrate the continuity of skill-building in each academic department from grade eight through post-graduate.
